1. Summary
Sakinah is designed so couples’ shared and spiritual experiences are protected with strong privacy practices, including end-to-end encryption for the most sensitive shared content where implemented. We use Apple and RevenueCat to process in-app in-app purchases and entitlement status. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers in the app.
2. Information We Process
Depending on how you use Sakinah, the app may process and store: account and pairing data (for example through Sign in with Apple), relationship prompts, reflections, progress in shared experiences, learning content you access, optional calendar or ritual-related context where supported, and app settings. End-to-end encrypted content such as shared journal entries, love letters, and private couple messages (where the feature is offered) is designed so that only you and your paired partner can read that content. Other product data is handled with local-first and minimization practices where possible. We do not sell your data for advertising.
3. Purchase and entitlement information
If you purchase or restore a in-app purchases, billing and receipt processing is handled by Apple and RevenueCat. Data processed can include product identifiers (for example app entitlement identifiers), purchase, renewal, expiration, cancellation, and restore events, entitlement status (for example access to Sakinah optional features such as advanced prompts or trend surfaces), and app user identifiers and technical metadata needed to validate purchases and prevent fraud.
4. Diagnostics and security metadata
We and our service providers may process limited technical data required for reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. This is separate from the end-to-end encrypted content of your private shared space.
5. Third-Party Services
Sakinah uses Apple App Store / StoreKit for payments and in-app purchases, Apple Sign in where offered, and RevenueCat for purchase infrastructure and entitlement management. See https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ and https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
6. How We Use Information
We use data to provide app functionality, protect paired accounts, verify purchase entitlement and restore purchases, improve reliability and security, and comply with legal obligations.
7. Data Sharing
We share data only as needed with processors and platforms that enable the app to function (for example Apple and RevenueCat), legal compliance, and security operations. We do not sell personal information for cross-context advertising.
8. Data Retention
Retention depends on the type of data and your actions in the app. On-device and account-linked records follow product settings and deletion flows where available. in-app purchases records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat under their own retention policies.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You can cancel or manage in-app purchases in Apple account settings, use Restore Purchases in Sakinah to re-sync entitlements, manage Sign in with Apple in Apple settings, delete certain content in-app where provided, and contact us for privacy requests.
10. Children
Sakinah is for adults in committed relationships and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law.
11. International Users
Service providers may process data in countries other than your own, subject to applicable legal safeguards.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Last updated date will be revised when changes are posted.
