Privacy Policy — Fondly

Last updated: May 23, 2026

This policy applies specifically to Fondly. For product help or purchase questions, use Fondly Support.

1. Overview

Fondly ("the App") is operated by Raphael Momanyi ("we", "us"). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

2. Content you choose to add

The App can use photos, videos, notes, links, and songs that you choose to add. Derived OCR text, labels, search indexes, Chapters, and Recaps are stored locally on your device.

3. On-device processing

OCR, image understanding, duplicate detection, search indexing, and Recap generation use Apple frameworks on-device. We do not upload your memories or search queries to external services.

4. Permissions

If you grant Photos access, the App can read the media you select for indexing and Recaps. Camera, Face ID, notifications, and media-library permissions are optional and used only when you enable the related feature.

5. Purchases and transaction data

If you choose to make or restore an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple using StoreKit. Apple may collect standard transaction information such as the product purchased, purchase date, and a transaction identifier. We do not collect or store sensitive financial information such as your payment card number, as payments are handled by Apple's secure App Store processing.

6. How purchase data is used

The App uses RevenueCat and StoreKit entitlement information to verify access, complete purchases, and restore in-app purchases on the same Apple ID. RevenueCat remains the purchase and in-app purchases service; it does not receive your memory content.

7. Analytics and advertising

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs and we do not use third-party analytics trackers in the App. We may review aggregated sales reports provided by Apple for accounting and to understand which purchases are popular.

8. Data retention and deletion

Indexed content remains on your device until you delete it from within the App or uninstall the App. Apple retains transaction records according to its policies. Aggregated sales reports may be retained for accounting and compliance purposes as required by law.
