Privacy Policy — Drift
Last updated: 2026-05-08
1. Summary
Drift is designed to keep sleep sessions, routine logs, and bedside preferences on your device. We use Apple and RevenueCat to process subscriptions and entitlement status. We do not sell your personal data.
2. Information We Process
Depending on how you use Drift, the app may store sleep sessions, nap entries, daily scores, coaching history, smart alarm settings, ambient sound preferences, and routine logs such as caffeine, alcohol, meals, exercise, screen time, and stress. This information is stored locally on your device.
3. Device Permissions
If you enable optional features, Drift may request access to notifications, microphone, motion, or other iPhone capabilities that support bedtime tracking and morning alerts. You can manage these permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
4. Subscription and billing information
If you purchase or restore a subscription, billing and receipt processing is handled by Apple and RevenueCat. Data processed can include product identifiers, purchase and renewal events, entitlement status, and technical metadata required to validate purchases.
5. Local-first storage
Core sleep records and routine history are stored on-device using Apple local persistence frameworks. We do not require a default backend account for the core Drift experience.
6. Data Sharing
We share data only as needed with processors and platforms that enable the app to function, such as Apple and RevenueCat, plus legal or security obligations. We do not sell personal information.
7. Retention and deletion
Your Drift data remains on your device until you delete it in the app or remove the app from your device. Subscription records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat under their own policies.
