Privacy Policy — HearLog

Last updated: 2026-05-06

1. Summary

HearLog is designed to keep your hearing aid logs and care records on your device. We use Apple and RevenueCat to process in-app subscriptions and entitlement status. We do not sell your personal data.

2. Information We Process

Depending on how you use HearLog, the app may store locally your device details, battery change logs, wear time entries, maintenance records, reminder settings, and app preferences. All core features are designed to work on-device without sending your personal care data to external servers.

3. Subscription and billing information

If you purchase or restore a subscription, billing and receipt processing is handled by Apple and RevenueCat. Data processed can include product identifiers, purchase and renewal events, entitlement status, and app user identifiers needed to validate purchases.

4. Diagnostics and security metadata

We and our service providers may process limited technical data required for reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.

5. Third-Party Services

HearLog uses Apple App Store / StoreKit for payments and subscriptions, and RevenueCat for subscription infrastructure and entitlement management. See https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ and https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

6. How We Use Information

We use data to provide app functionality, verify subscription entitlement and restore purchases, improve reliability and security, and comply with legal obligations.

7. Data Sharing

We share data only as needed with processors and platforms that enable the app to function (Apple, RevenueCat), legal compliance, and security operations. We do not sell personal information.

8. Data Retention

On-device logs and records remain on your device unless you delete them. Subscription records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat under their own retention policies.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple account settings, use Restore Purchases to re-sync entitlements, delete records from within the app, and contact us for privacy requests.

10. Children

HearLog is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Last updated date will be revised when changes are posted.
