This policy applies specifically to GutScan. For product help or purchase questions, use GutScan Support.
1. Overview
GutScan ("the App") is operated by Raphael Momanyi ("we", "us"). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.
2. Health-adjacent logs
The App stores food scans, ingredient text, meal logs, symptom entries, and personal notes you choose to record.
3. On-device analysis
Ingredient parsing and risk scoring are designed to run on-device. Core analysis does not require uploading your scans to an external backend.
4. Camera and image handling
If you scan labels or barcodes, captured images and extracted text are stored locally unless you explicitly export them.
5. Exports
Any PDF or data export is initiated by you and shared only through destinations you select in the iOS share sheet.
6. Purchases
optional purchases are processed by Apple (StoreKit). We do not collect or store payment card information.
7. Data deletion
You can delete scans, logs, and notes in-app. Uninstalling the app removes locally stored data from the device.
