Jojo remembers it. Vocabulary, then a card, then a review. No thirty-minute lesson.
Mastery colour
Drag through three months of watching and see one line go from a wall of amber to something you just understand — the same mastery ink that colours Jojo’s feed.

It rained all morning, but this afternoon I got to chat with a friend at a café, and it was so nice.
Tap to understand
Every word opens a slim card: reading, one gloss, what it means in this line. Mark it — Learning, Familiar, Easy, Known — and the colour follows you into every clip after.

The story behind Jojo
Raphael Momanyi — Founder & Developer
I wanted to learn Japanese. So, like most people, I started with the apps everyone recommends. Duolingo. LingoDeer. WaniKani. Bunpro. Pimsleur. They all had something valuable to offer.
Then learning Japanese started feeling like another chore.
Stop what you’re doing. Open an app. Sit down. Finish a lesson. Eventually real life won. I’d open TikTok, scroll Instagram, watch YouTube — and spend twenty minutes without thinking twice. Then I’d tell myself I’d study later.
What if learning Japanese didn’t have to compete with the habits I already had?
What if I could learn while scrolling — not by turning the feed into a classroom, but by turning the thing I was already doing into one? Anime. Food. Travel. Street conversations. Real people.
That’s when Jojo was born. The app I wished existed when I started.

Two ways to wear it
Same two accents as the app. This page is wearing Sakura dark. The switch restyles the site the way Profile restyles Jojo.
Night indigo, neon pink glow. The default — soft weather with a loud cursor.

Warm paper, candy orange. The loud commute theme.

Now on the App Store
